Heartware 2.3
It’s October 18 again, and that means it’s time for a new version of Heartware.
Some could say, this version is somewhat a step back in comparison to the previous one due to the loss of some functionality, while we — me and my ego — believe that we are moving in a right direction.
It was a rough year, a lot of work has been done since the release of Heartware 2.2. And although some betas (like 2.2.5–2.2.7) were so unstable one could call them alphas, we managed to iron out the most critical and annoying bugs and make this release as stable as possible.
As a separate point, we’d like to say a few words about the bug #290848. We have been fighting this bug for a couple of years now, and only in this version we finally fixed it — removed the whole part of code that was causing this bug and due to it our application can no longer integrate with social networks.
It was a hard decision to make, but we believe it was our only option to keep things going. There is a possibility that we will bring back this function in next releases, but this is not our main priority and for now it will stay as it is.
All in all, we hope you enjoy the new version of Heartware.
